Bill Rusen is pleased and honored to join the Kuna and Associates team. Bill served for 19 years as Chief Executive Officer of Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services located in Ithaca, NY. A native of the Scranton, PA area, Bill has worked in community behavioral and primary health care systems for over 40 years in four states stretching from Pennsylvania to Washington to New Hampshire to New York. He obtained his graduate degree in Social Work from Marywood University, and has made professional contributions through presentation of scholarly papers and workshop facilitation at state and national conferences. Bill has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Buffalo School of Social Work, TC-3 and Marywood University. Bill was an expert team member for the Institute for Health Care Design, United States Department of Health and Human Services’ Bureau of Primary Health Care. In that role, Bill trained and coached primary health care provider organizations to redesign and reengineer their health care delivery systems. A quote: “I believe any success I have had over the years has been built upon the foundation that my “values come to work” each day and influence all that I do. At my core, as a person and professional, is a deep and abiding belief in the ability of an individual to transform themselves and their lives. I believe that my work is based in the knowledge that the renewal of life is not just possible but likely. I believe in growth as the natural state of all people. We must seek every opportunity to nurture and support that natural human tendency towards renewal and growth through our work both personally and professionally.”
