Kareem Celestine
My approach to therapy begins with establishing safety and connection. I like to foster a safe environment that allows for growth, connectedness, and the crafting of authentic states of being, as this is at the forefront of the healing process. I believe that past choices and mistakes do not define us, and shame is one of the biggest hindrances to healing and growth. I am committed to dismantling the shackles of shame.
I am currently enrolled in the Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) program at Chestnut Hill College. I received both my Master’s in Clinical Psychology and Bachelor’s in Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. I am trained in Dynamic and Systems Therapies; however, I also integrate interventions from Humanistic, CBT, and Strengths-based orientations. I like to orient my treatment to the client’s needs.
My areas of interest include Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, emerging adulthood, and Interpersonal and Romantic relationships. I also have some experience working with individuals who struggle with substance abuse.
